POLICE / Takes a knife and slashes a car’s tires in Pogradec. Serious incidents in Kolonjë and Maliq

Maliq – The Police Commissariat referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against citizen E. Z., 32 years old, resident of Maliq, after he failed to obey a police officer’s order to stop his vehicle on “Rinia” Boulevard.

Kolonjë – The Police Commissariat referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office for evaluation, after on 11.08.2025 a fire broke out in the forests of the villages Gërmenj and Shelegur, burning about 220 hectares of vegetation. From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the fire started in Greek territory and then spread across the border.

Pogradec – On 21.08.2025, citizen E. M., 31 years old, resident of Rrëmenj village, reported that the day before he had found 3 tires of his car damaged, suspectedly with a sharp object, while it was parked in neighborhood no. 4. Work is ongoing to verify the case and to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).
