Police announcements for Monday, June 9, 2025

Local Police Directorate of Korçë announces the latest incidents on June 8, 2025:

• Specialists from the Road Traffic Sector arrested two individuals, F. M., 47 years old from Tirana, and Y. Y., 53 years old from Pogradec, caught driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol.

• In Korçë, a 48-year-old woman, J. B., who suffers from depression, attempted suicide at home by ingesting medication. She is currently receiving treatment and is out of danger.

• In Maliq, in the village of Vloçisht, an electrical spark is suspected to have caused a fire in a power transformer, resulting in material damage.

Procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further action.
