A 32-year-old arrested for trafficking AMP motorcycles “storm” in Kapshtica, 4 police officers suspended, and 130,000 euros worth of cars seized.The Police Oversight Agency (Elbasan-Korça Region) executed the Prosecutor’s order for the enforcement of the decision of the First Instance General Jurisdiction Court of Korça, which has imposed the security measure “Arrest in prison” for the citizen M.C., 32 years old, suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Trafficking in motor vehicles.”The AMP also executed the Court’s decision for the security measure “Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service,” as individuals suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Abuse of duty” by 4 police officers:Inspector M.M., 32 years old, serving as a police officer at the Kapshtica PKK;Inspector S.L., 56 years old, serving as a police officer at the Kapshtica PKK;Inspector E.M., 35 years old, serving as a police officer at the Kapshtica PKK;Sub-Commissioner M.A., 28 years old, serving as a Specialist for crime investigation at the Police Commissariat Korça.From proactive investigations related to this criminal procedure, it has been found that the citizen M.C. has trafficked vehicles stolen in Greece to Albania, making changes to their identifying elements to later equip them with false documents for sale in our country.It has also been documented with legal evidence and facts that the police officers, in abuse of duty and in violation of the existing legal and sub-legal acts, as well as in violation of Standard Work Procedures, did not verify the documentation of the vehicles, the lack of permits, or authorizations that the citizen M.C. should have possessed at the moment of introducing these vehicles into Albanian territory.As material evidence, 6 suspected stolen vehicles were seized, with a value of 130,000 euros.
