POLICE: The 54-year-old man was arrested in Qafë Plloë with 5 foreign citizens...!

DVP Korçë / Operations continue to crack down on the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, against payment, for illegal border crossing.

Police operation codenamed "Midnight 17" ends.

The 54-year-old man was caught in the act of transporting 5 foreign citizens who were going to cross the border illegally, against payment.

The vehicle and a mobile device are seized.

The Illegal Traffic Investigation Specialists of DVP Korçë organized and finalized the coded police operation "Midnight 17", as a result of which the citizen was arrested red-handed:

- K. M., 54 years old, resident in Tirana.

The Police Services, on the basis of the information provided by the information intelligence, for a citizen who would transport foreign citizens against payment, in order for them to cross the border illegally, organized actions on the "Korçë-Pogradec" road axis, in the place called Qafë Plloçë, made it possible to locate the suspect vehicle. During the check, 5 illegal immigrants were found in the "Citroen" vehicle, which the 54-year-old man would transport for payment, in order to cross illegally to the EU countries. As material evidence, the vehicle and a mobile device were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
