Publication of intimate photos and videos sparks investigation: 56-year-old police officer at the center of scandal

Serious incident in Përmet, a police officer is allegedly involved with a 16-year-old girl.

A serious case has shaken the city of Përmet, where police officer Artur Ago, 56, is suspected of having an intimate relationship with a 16-year-old girl from Këlcyra. The case came to light through a social media post, prompting the Gjirokastër Regional Police Directorate and the Police Oversight Agency (AMP) to immediately launch an investigation.

According to investigative sources, the case involves several intimate videos that were circulated online and ended up in the possession of some of the girl’s peers. A local social media page, “Bashkësia Përmet,” published a photo of the 56-year-old officer allegedly involved with the minor, accelerating the response from authorities.

Investigators suspect that some of the youths in possession of the compromising materials attempted to blackmail the officer, demanding money in exchange for not releasing the videos. So far, seven people have been questioned, and the investigation continues to determine the precise role of each individual and fully clarify the circumstances of this serious incident.
