Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was asked today about one of the protesters’ demands, who are calling for his resignation over the Zvërnec project.

According to Rama, this demand from the protesters is something old.

“They should refer to the old archive because there is nothing new,” Rama told reporters.

According to the Prime Minister, he represents the will of at least 800,000 Albanians.

“They should refer to the long archive of this old film, because there is nothing new here anymore. I have not asked to speak with any of those who, for me, are orchestrated and unhinged. I have asked to speak with those who voted for me, some of whom have also written to me.

That film should show everyone that nothing moves me from the ‘position’ where Albanians have placed me. I represent the will of at least 800,000 Albanians and I have a contract with them...

Anyone who speaks in the name of genuine environmental concerns is welcome to talk. Those who come with the book of my house under the window here and of the Socialist Party and shout like the jackals of the Golden Dawn, may God forgive them, because they are not a subject for me at all,” said the Prime Minister.
