Rama talks about the next operation and it’s the ‘car graveyards’

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a meeting focused on the Integrated Waste Management reform, provided more details about the next operation the closure of all illegal “car graveyards.”

The head of the Albanian government stated that these car graveyards have been operating legally only through local consent, despite being against the law, across the country.

“We are the only country in Europe where car ‘graveyards’ have been legalized without proper law, relying solely on local consent as a fait accompli. This operation has just begun and will continue until all of these sites are removed. We are a country that still lacks information from distributors, manufacturers, or importers. There are other steps, but these two are fundamental: first, establishing a legal framework, and then proceeding with all phases and responsibilities of implementation,” he said.
