RARE CASE/ Police car driver fined 100,000 lek and license suspended for 3 months

Reaction from the Korçë Local Police Directorate

Regarding a video posted on social media showing a police vehicle driving in the wrong direction in the city of Pogradec, we inform the public that:

For the violation committed, based on point 12 of article 7 of the Road Code, the driver of the vehicle, Th. K., a police officer of the Korçë Local Police Directorate, has been sanctioned with an administrative fine of 10,000 lek, had his driving license suspended for 3 months, and 6 points were deducted from his license.

The Korçë Local Police Directorate urges citizens to report any cases of traffic violations by calling 112 and assures that it will respond immediately and in accordance with the law.
