Roots of Kolonjë – Bilbil Rakipi


Dr. Bilbil Et’hem Rakipi, an anesthesiologist and resuscitation specialist, was born on February 20, 1959, in Novoselë, Kolonjë. He completed his secondary education at “Petro Nini Luarasi” High School in Ersekë and then graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tirana in 1984 with excellent results.


He specialized in Anesthesia and Resuscitation between 1985 and 1988, also completing additional training abroad in Cairo and Athens.


Dr. Rakipi began his professional career at the Ersekë Hospital, serving as an anesthesiologist-resuscitation doctor. He later worked at the University Polytrauma Center of the Military Hospital and in the Anesthesia-Resuscitation Service at the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital in Tirana.


Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous scientific activities and conferences, both in Albania and abroad, continually dedicating himself to professional growth.


Dr. Rakipi is known for his dedication to his patients and to his demanding profession, which requires immense responsibility for human life.


Over the years, he has performed thousands of anesthesias in challenging cases and has always stood by his patients and their families, sharing hope and commitment to saving lives.
