Roots of Kolonjë / Caci Simeoni, “Distinguished Teacher” and architect of thought

In a region where education was not just a duty, but a legacy, a name was formed that would remain long in memory: Caci Simeoni.

Caci Simeoni, born on 10 February 1945 in Ersekë, came from a family tree with strong roots of civic spirit and culture: his father, Vangjel Simeoni, a merchant and skilled economist from Borova, and his mother from Rehova, the daughter of Sotir Prifti, secretary of the sub-prefecture a heritage that instilled in him a sense of responsibility and dignity from the very beginning.

Graduated from the University of Tirana in 1966 in Mathematics, he built a long career as a teacher, head of the Pedagogical Cabinet, inspector, and official in educational institutions. After the 1990s, he served as an education specialist in the Ministry of Education, the Institute of Pedagogical Studies, and the Tirana Regional Education Directorate, setting high professional standards in every role he held.

Honored with the title “Distinguished Teacher” and other awards, he stood out for his correctness, fairness, and deeply studious nature.

A participant in numerous seminars inside and outside the country, from Scotland to Denmark and Turkey, he brought experiences and models that influenced the improvement of educational practices and the raising of teaching quality.

He was not only a mathematics teacher, but an architect of thought, a man who shaped knowledge with rare dedication. From the benches of the “Petro N. Luarasi” high school to academic auditoriums and educational institutions, his path was built on discipline, knowledge, and love for future generations.

In both easy and difficult times, he chose not to waver, but to raise standards. Not only to teach formulas, but to shape character.

Because some people leave behind not only students…

but a way of thinking.

And this is the highest form of immortality in education, they live in the minds and formation of those they have touched.
