Britain has been deeply shaken after it emerged that an NHS doctor is accused of sexually abusing 38 patients in hospitals across West Midlands and Staffordshire between 2017 and 2021.
His identity has now been made public, and his photos have been widely circulated. Nathaniel Spencer faces a serious set of charges, including sexual assault, rape, and abuse of minors. The 38-year-old is expected to appear in court on January 20, 2026, to respond to the allegations.
Nathaniel Spencer is originally from Quinton, Birmingham. He graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw and received full authorization to practice medicine in the UK in 2019.
Spencer is married to a Polish graphic designer, and the couple, who have two children, regularly attended Kościół Zoe church services and ceremonies, including the baptism of their youngest daughter. Photographs released by the church show Spencer receiving blessings from the pastor and participating in community activities.
His seemingly calm and orderly family life, along with his religious involvement, sharply contrast with the serious charges he faces, causing shock in the community.
Spencer faces a total of 45 charges, including 15 counts of sexual assault, 17 counts of rape, 9 counts of sexual abuse of a child under 13, 3 counts of rape of a child under 13, and 1 count of attempted rape.
