Serious case in Përmet: Police officer allegedly involved with 16-year-old girl, 7 questioned

A serious case has come to light in Përmet, where a 56-year-old police officer, identified as A. A., is suspected of having an intimate relationship with a 16-year-old girl, S. K., from Këlcyrë.

The case first gained public attention through social media posts, prompting the Gjirokastër Local Police Directorate to launch an immediate investigation in cooperation with the Police Oversight Agency (AMP), due to the involvement of a law enforcement officer.

Investigators discovered several intimate videos circulating online, which were in the possession of some of the victim’s young acquaintances. Authorities suspect that these individuals attempted to blackmail the officer, demanding money in exchange for not releasing the material publicly.

So far, seven individuals connected to the case have been questioned. Police continue to investigate to fully clarify the incident, determine the role of each person involved, and identify whether others may have participated.

The investigation remains active as authorities work to uncover all details.
