SERIOUS INCIDENT / Dog bites 2-year-old girl on the head, the child’s grandmother arrested

A serious incident occurred in the Piraeus area, where a two-year-old child was injured after being attacked by a dog.

According to reports, the little girl momentarily slipped from her grandmother’s supervision and approached a dog, which then attacked her, biting her on the head.

Immediately after the incident, the child was transported under police escort to the Children’s Hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

Meanwhile, authorities have arrested her grandmother, a Dutch national, on charges of endangering a minor. The incident took place on the afternoon of Holy Monday, April 6, while the full circumstances are under investigation by the relevant authorities.
