SERIOUS INCIDENT in Plasë/ 49-year-old man dies after falling from a wall

A tragic incident has been reported in the village of Plasë, Maliq, where 49-year-old Eduart Çarçani was found dead.

According to preliminary information, it is suspected that the man attempted to enter a house that was not his by climbing over the surrounding wall. During the attempt, his shirt got caught on the iron fence, leading to fatal suffocation.

It is initially believed that the victim might have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. Police are at the scene and are investigating to fully clarify the circumstances.

Police Notification:

Maliq / On 11.11.2025, citizen E. Ç., 49 years old, was found dead on the street. No signs of violence were observed on the body during the external examination.

Work is underway to determine the exact cause of the victim’s death.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further actions.
