Skënderbeu/ Friday against Iliria, Week 3 worth only 3 points

Friday is not far off in Korçë, as this week’s match at the “Skënderbeu” stadium will see Skënderbeu face Iliria, a game that, in reality, is worth only three points for the white-and-reds.

After a draw in Lushnja in Week 2, Skënderbeu is obliged to secure a win in this 90-minute match, and on paper, they are clearly favored. Coach Ernest Gjoka and his staff have two more training sessions, with today’s session in the afternoon and tomorrow marking the end of their 10-day preparation.

Skënderbeu is expected to be even more consolidated for this game, as the transfer window is closed. The only potential new addition on the field is Mario Gjata from Fier, who will replace the departed Bismark.

The team roster is now complete, and no moves are expected until January, meaning Gjoka has this squad to aim for the top of the first division as soon as possible.

The white-and-red coach is expected to address the media tomorrow ahead of the match, but Iliria is clear that this game is worth only three points for Skënderbeu.
