Skënderbeu secured a very important 2-1 victory over Kastrioti in today’s match in Korçë, part of the 20th week of the First Division.

The first half was marked by a tough midfield battle and tension but ended goalless. The action ignited in the second half when Renato Gjini scored a superb overhead kick, electrifying the stadium and giving the Korçë team the lead.

Skënderbeu continued the pressure and added a second goal through Beshiraj, who scored on his debut wearing the white-and-red jersey. In injury time, Kastrioti reduced the deficit with a beautiful long-range strike by Skerdi Xhixho, but could not avoid defeat.

With this win, Skënderbeu consolidates its lead at the top of the table, temporarily moving 8 points ahead of nearest rival Laçi, taking a significant step toward the season’s objective.
