Skënderbeu will play its second summer friendly match against Besa on Saturday, August 2, marking the second test of this preseason phase. A few days ago, Skënderbeu played its first friendly against Bledi Shkëmbi’s Struga, which ended in a 0-4 defeat for the home side, a result that certainly disappointed everyone in the southeast.
However, the team is still in its preparatory phase, and friendlies like these are essential to assess the form and progress of the squad, regardless of the fact that August 23, the start date of the First Division, is still far off and there is time until the opening match.
Skënderbeu remains active in the transfer market and is awaiting three more signings, while coach Gjoka is mainly observing the current players' form. There are still many questions to be answered, questions that are expected to be clarified through these friendlies.
The match against Besa will be played on August 2, although the kick-off time has yet to be confirmed.
Following that, the team will face Pogradeci, Vora, Luftëtari, and one more opponent that has not yet been determined.
Friendly matches confirmed so far:
Skënderbeu 0-4 Struga
August 2 – Skënderbeu vs Besa
August 6 – Pogradeci vs Skënderbeu
August 9 – Skënderbeu vs Vora
August 12 – Skënderbeu vs Luftëtari
