A video has gone viral online today, featuring the Director of Agriculture in the Municipality of Sarandë, a certain Muçi, as he’s called by Bardha, one of the city's longtime vendors, was the main protagonist.
Wearing his official state employee badge, Muçi confronts the woman over a batch of oregano she had collected from the mountains, demanding a tax invoice and a certificate of origin for the product. He warns her that this is her final warning, and next time, the goods will be confiscated.
Apparently, after solving all of Albania’s other problems after food safety standards were raised to those of Sweden or Switzerland, and at a time when the Food Authority (AKU) is no longer viewed as a federation of thugs the last unresolved issue left was Bardha’s oregano invoice.
