Smuggling goods from Greece: Apostol Petro and Olger Hoxha arrested at Kapshticë customs

Korçë Police have arrested two individuals who attempted to smuggle goods from Greece, including clothing, food products, and various textiles.

Apostol Petro and Olger Hoxha were taken into custody, and the smuggled clothing, food products, and textiles were seized.

During systematic checks and those based on police information, the Border Police services at Kapshticë Customs Point, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, directed the following for secondary inspection:

1. A bus driven by Olger Hoxha, 48 years old, resident of Korçë;

2. A car driven by Apostol Petro, 54 years old, resident of Elbasan.

Upon inspection, the luggage of both the bus and the car contained various clothing, food products, and textiles suspected to have been smuggled from Greece.

Following procedural actions, both individuals were arrested in flagrante for the criminal offense of “Smuggling other goods.”

The procedural materials were referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
