Today, we bring you one of the latest photos of many iconic figures of Korçë and Albanian sports. Last Sunday, the international veterans’ match between Skënderbeu and the Thessaloniki national team took place, with the white and reds winning 5-1.
In this match, the honorary guests were the Skënderbeu veterans you see below, who today represent a great value for our entire city and all of Albania. Names such as Jani Kaçi, Gjergji Ballço, Dhimitraq Dembo, Gjergji Lika, and the great Dhimitraq Xhambazi posed together, as if to say this photo is more than just a great legend.
It’s truly a pleasure to see these former footballers today, who for decades have raised the great name of Skënderbeu.
Tomorrow, this photo will hold even more value, telling future generations that these footballers—and many others who are no longer with us—were the ones who built the legacy.
