Ilir Meta’s lawyers walked out of the SPAC Court session as the judges were delivering their decision regarding the former president.
The court rejected Meta’s request, upholding the measure of imprisonment.
Meta’s lawyer told the media that the prosecution had requested that Meta remain in prison, and according to him, this would inevitably be approved by the court.
“With me, these judges have no chance of making a mockery of things — they must return to legality.
I told the judge I was leaving because they had already made their decision.
He didn’t like it, but they obviously rule exactly as the prosecutor requests. The prosecutor sought rejection, and the court will reject.
It’s not Meta who conducts the defense, I do. Meta has his political positions, but my defense is dictated neither by him nor by anyone else.
I’m here to present my views and observe the court’s conduct.
The court can mock any other lawyer, but with me, they have no chance,” the lawyer stated.
