SPAC indicts the well-known mayor for abuse of public office

The Special Prosecution has taken to trial the mayor of Roskovec, Majlinda Bufi.

According to the charges raised by SPAK, she is accused of the criminal offense of “Using public office for political activity.”

SPAC accuses Bufi under Article 328/a/3 of the Criminal Code, “Using public office for political activity,” an offense related to exploiting local government authority for political, rather than institutional, interests, reports Timoni.al.

Today, the case file was officially registered with the Special Court, marking the conclusion of the investigation and the transition of the case to trial.

This means that SPAC has completed all investigative actions and has determined that the evidence is sufficient to bring the case before the judicial panel.

Majlinda Bufi, one of the well-known names in local government in Roskovec, faces for the first time a criminal charge from SPAC, which is expected to create significant political reactions both in the region and at the central level.
