SPORTS TEAMS / “Themistokli Gërmenji” High School with both girls’ and boys’ volleyball teams

This school year as well, the project “Sports Teams in Schools,” organized by Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH), has continued.

The “Themistokli Gërmenji” high school, with both its girls’ and boys’ volleyball teams, participated in the various stages according to the match schedule.

In the first phase, in matches against the “Raqi Qirinxhi” high school teams, both squads achieved success:

• The girls’ team won with a score of 2-1

• The boys’ team won with a score of 2-0

In the third phase, held in the city of Elbasan, we were represented with dignity by the girls’ team. In two matches, our girls secured clear victories:

Elbasan-Korçë 0-2

Berat-Korçë 0-2

In the fourth phase, during the semifinal matches, the girls’ team—represented by 15 players—played at the multi-sport club, in the "Farie Hoti" hall. The match:

Vlorë-Korçë 2-0

Here ended the journey through many challenges.

Beyond the desired goals that reached the penultimate step, these activities are examples of the multifaceted growth of our students—humanly, in the positive spirit of teamwork, in collaboration for a common goal, in experiencing the joy of victories, but also in the civic acceptance of defeat, and in the healthy development of their physical well-being.

We congratulate all the students on the teams and the Physical Education teacher, Moza Shahu, for her tireless dedication and passion.
