Across the country, more than 26,600 high school graduates are sitting today for the second exam of the State Matura 2026, the Albanian language and literature test.

The exam will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will last 2 hours and 30 minutes.

There are 144 exam centers in schools across the country. The smooth running of the process will be supported by 2,087 teacher administrators and 170 Ministry of Education monitors, while 650 evaluators will be engaged in grading the State Matura tests.

To avoid any issues, students must follow several rules: they must be in school by 08:30; bring their ID card; appear in proper attire and school uniform; mobile phones and smartwatches are not allowed; and they must maintain proper behavior and full concentration during the exam.

Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro yesterday called for the Albanian language and literature exam to be conducted under the same standards as the foreign language exam, stressing that compliance with the rules is non-negotiable.

On June 16, students will take the Mathematics exam, and on June 23 the elective subject exam.
