Students to return to lecture halls / Here is the date when the new academic year 2026–2027 begins

On October 5, the new 2026–2027 academic year will begin at Albanian universities, with students returning to lecture halls, laboratories, and university life.

Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro announced that the new academic year will also begin with new and more modern facilities at several universities across the country, as a result of investments by the Ministry of Education.

According to Kumbaro, the investments aim to improve university facilities and create better conditions for students and lecturers, providing them with more spaces for studying, working, and developing ideas.

The minister emphasized that improving university infrastructure is also linked to the internationalization process of higher education, with the aim of strengthening Albanian universities and creating new opportunities for the academic community.
