Summer viruses, children aged 1–4 most exposed / Lama: Don’t wait for symptoms to worsen, seek medical check-ups in time.
Cases of viral infections among children continue to appear even during the summer season. High temperatures and frequent changes in environment contribute to the increase of seasonal infections, while pediatricians are urging parents to be cautious and not ignore the first signs.
Fever, diarrhea, and vomiting are among the most common symptoms affecting children during this period. According to pediatrician Albert Lama, the current situation is not considered problematic, but increased attention is needed regarding children’s overall condition.
According to the doctor, the group most exposed to summer viruses is children between the ages of 1 and 4, who are more vulnerable to dehydration and complications caused by high temperatures.
Lama advises parents to ensure proper hydration, maintain hygiene, and seek medical assistance when symptoms worsen or when the child’s condition changes from normal.
Doctors emphasize that timely intervention helps prevent complications and supports a faster recovery for young children during the summer months.
