Although we are in mid-September, the weather continues to maintain a summer character, according to the forecast of meteorologist Lajda Porja. She announced that this week will be mostly stable, with high temperatures and clear skies across most of the country.

“Summer’s atmosphere still continues, even though we are in mid-September. The week is expected to remain stable, but from Wednesday we will have clouds and light rainfall, only in the northern edge of the country. Sunny days will return over the weekend,” said Porja.

According to her, air temperatures have been 4–5 degrees higher than the seasonal average.

“Today, the thermometer will mark up to 23°C, while tomorrow it is expected to rise to 33°C. On Wednesday, we will see a slight drop to 30°C, but from Thursday and Friday temperatures will increase again, peaking at the weekend with values up to 35°C – typical of the summer season.”

For all those planning to visit the coast, the meteorologist assured that the conditions will be quite ideal for holidays.

As for the region, most of the Balkans will also remain under the influence of clear weather. “In Montenegro and in Kosovo, there will be light showers mid-week, but afterward an improvement is expected. Kosovo will record up to 32°C during the weekend, while North Macedonia will have temperatures of up to 24°C,” Porja emphasized.
