Suspected of involvement in the murder of Fatbardh Lici, the Supreme Court of Justice (GJKKO) keeps Safet Bajri’s ex-girlfriend in prison

The Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) rejected Eria Ago’s request to change her security measure, deciding that the 31-year-old will remain in pretrial detention.

Ago was arrested in March of this year and is under investigation by the Special Prosecution (SPAK) for suspected involvement in the execution of Fatbardh Lici, an incident that occurred in August 2018 in the “Kiras” neighborhood of Shkodër. According to investigators, she is suspected of driving one of the vehicles used in the attack.

Despite her claims of health problems and her denial of the charges, the court decided not to grant her release under a lighter security measure.

Eria Ago was previously mentioned in the media as the ex-girlfriend of Safet Bajri, a figure known to law enforcement. After leaving her connection with criminal groups, she opened a clothing business on “Myslym Shyri” street in Tirana and claimed to have left her past behind.

Her name also surfaced in 2020 during an investigation into a prostitution network in which Hermes Nikaj, known as “the Bird of Tirana,” was arrested.

The clarification of Fatbardh Lici’s murder came after the analysis of data from the “Sky ECC” application and security camera footage, which have become part of the investigative file at SPAC.
