The baby bonus has helped thousands of families since 2019, Prime Minister Rama publishes the figures

Over 237,000 children have benefited from the baby bonus, a program launched by the Albanian government in January 2019 aimed at supporting new families at the time of childbirth.
The figures were made public today by Prime Minister Edi Rama through a post on social media.
According to the head of government, the bonus scheme provides financial support of 40,000 lek for the first child, 80,000 lek for the second, and 120,000 lek for the third.
“More than 237,000 children have benefited from the baby bonus since the launch of the government’s program in January 2019,” Prime Minister Rama wrote, highlighting the role of this measure in easing the economic burden on Albanian families.
