This is a device used to produce X-ray images using film and chemical solutions.
It is a technology that is no longer used in most countries. It has long been replaced by digital radiology, which is more accurate, faster, and free from primitive errors.
But this device is still in use at the hospital of Korça.
And with it, thousands of citizens who need an accurate diagnosis are served every day.
The reality?
Doctors are facing serious difficulties, because the image quality and the way this technology works put the diagnosis into question.
A pure absurdity:
The same X-ray, in the first shift, comes out “problematic.”
In the second shift, it comes out “clear.”
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Evis Sala, talks about “European standards” and “artificial intelligence in healthcare”…
The irony is that here they are still working with films developed using water and chemicals, and the result depends on who turns on the machine.
Artificial intelligence, Madam Minister, can wait.
Because here, they still haven’t settled accounts with the last century.
“KORÇA BOOM”
