Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro announced that the international assessment PIRLS has begun in 180 schools across the country, measuring reading comprehension skills for 4,602 fourth-grade students.


Through a post on social media, Kumbaro wrote that this study provides important data on students’ reading levels.


She also stated that the results of this study will help support the further development of reading skills among school students.

The international assessment PIRLS has begun in 180 schools across the country, measuring reading comprehension skills for 4,602 fourth-grade students.


This international study by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement, administered by the Qendra e Shërbimeve Arsimore and the Agjencia Kombëtare e Arsimit Parauniversitar, provides important data on students’ reading levels. Its results will help support the further development of reading skills among school students.
