The forest is often covered with a thick layer of pine needles, creating a soft structure, like a carpet. Forest is a home to a variety of plants, including wildflowers, shrubs and mosses, which add to the area’s rich biodiversity as well as supporting a range of wildlife such as deer, foxes and wild boar. Bird watchers can enjoy spotting a variety of birds, including woodpeckers, owls and hawks. The presence of small streams and springs within the forests provides habitats for amphibians and other aquatic species, contributing to the overall ecological richness.
