The United States Embassy in Tirana has issued an important notice for all applicants for a US visa.
Through a post on its official page, the American Embassy urged citizens to carefully verify that the barcode on their application form matches the barcode on their interview appointment.
Among other points, the notice emphasizes: “REMINDER! The barcode on your interview appointment confirmation MUST match the barcode on the DS-160 confirmation page to ensure a secure visa process that protects the United States.”
According to the Embassy, if the DS-160 form barcode does not match the barcode of the scheduled appointment and this is not corrected at least two days before the interview date, the appointment will be automatically canceled.
In such cases, applicants will need to schedule a new appointment to continue with the visa application process.
“REMINDER! The barcode on your interview appointment confirmation MUST match the barcode on the DS-160 confirmation page to ensure a secure visa process that protects the United States. If your barcode does not match at least two days before your appointment, your appointment will be canceled, and you will need to book a new one to continue with your visa application,” the Embassy stated.
