The vote counting process for delegates for the election of new members of the National Council of the Democratic Party has been completed.

After the counting is finalized, the Democratic Party is expected to publish the official results and the names of the winning candidates.

As part of this process, 200 new members of the National Council will be elected, one of the party’s most important structures, which plays a decisive role in its political and organizational direction.

The new council is also expected to play an important role in selecting the new leadership of the Democratic Party. This structure will influence the definition of the opposition’s strategy and preparations for upcoming electoral challenges, including the anticipated parliamentary elections of 2027.

One day earlier, the National Assembly of the Democratic Party approved the party’s new statute, marking another step in its reorganization process.
