Monika Kryemadhi has revealed for the first time details about her separation from former husband Ilir Meta.
She accused former SPAK chief prosecutor Altin Dumani of creating division between them, claiming he fostered the idea that she was unfaithful to Meta. According to her, messages were discovered that she had exchanged with a number saved under the name “My love.” However, Kryemadhi claims that the number actually belonged to Ilir Meta.
“I cannot deny 30 years of life; they were very beautiful years, we went through many challenges, battles that we sometimes won and sometimes lost. Even who I am today, I am partly because of Ilir Meta. He was a tolerant husband who allowed me to do whatever I wanted. Did I have other issues? Yes.
In our 33-year life together, we only went on vacation together as a family 8 times. I regret not spending more time with my family and children, but instead using it for others. I have some regrets, but I don’t regret anything. Now I feel respect for him and anger at myself that SPAK and Altin Dumani used methods reminiscent of the State Security to create conflict between spouses, labeling me as a state collaborator. The manipulation that was done was very ugly and inhumane.
But you reap what you sow. We had no problems between us. They initially told Ilir Meta that they had found I had a boyfriend on my phone. To have a boyfriend, you need time. Meta at that time was living in another place, and I would hear people at his table saying I had a boyfriend. They even sent him printed messages that I had with Meta, where I had saved the conversation under the name ‘My love’.
He didn’t even remember the messages. Later in court it turned out the number was Ilir Meta. I did not see his reaction because I am not interested in it. His staff accused me and my mother of using his name. A perception was created that in 2009 Meta received money that was given to my mother, and she bought a house.
