Two high school graduates from Peqin have been excluded from the Foreign Language exam after being caught attempting to enter the test center with a mobile phone and use it during the exam.
According to the Ministry of Education and Sports, the rules of the State Matura are non-negotiable and any violation is punished immediately, in order to ensure a fair and integrity-based process. As a result of the breach, the two candidates were immediately disqualified from the exam, losing the opportunity to continue the testing normally.
Authorities also stated that more than 2,000 teacher-administrators and 170 monitors from the Ministry of Education have been deployed across all exam centers to prevent any attempt at cheating or rule violations.
