Two resignations within 48 hours, well-known official returns to office

The Secretary-General of the Municipality of Tirana, Eldi Hoxha, has resigned from his position, one day after Anuela Ristani stepped down as deputy mayor of the municipality.

Following Hoxha’s resignation, Alban Dokushi has returned to head the General Secretariat, a position he previously held.

According to information, the decision to appoint Dokushi to the position was signed by Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, who is currently in prison.

Dokushi’s return to office comes following a decision by the Administrative Court, which ruled that he should be reinstated.

The changes in the leadership of the Municipality of Tirana have taken place over a two-day period, following the resignation of Anuela Ristani and now Eldi Hoxha from their respective positions in the municipal administration.
