The national youth championship kicked off today, and it was a fantastic start for Skënderbeu, the team that in just a few days will play its first match in the Champions League as the reigning champion of Albania.

Indeed, the U-19 white-and-red boys made a brilliant start today as they opened the season with a clean 0-2 victory in Durrës against hosts Teuta.

The young players of Skënderbeu scored one goal in each half, striking early through Shkëmbi, while the goal that sealed the win came late, in the 86th minute, from Oppong.

A truly fantastic victory and an enviable start, showing once again that Skënderbeu U-19 remains the team to beat this season, with a great group of players and a squad full of talent.
