The Russian air defense has declared that it repelled a massive drone attack overnight, destroying 121 drones targeting 13 regions of the country, including Moscow.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that there were no reports of casualties or damage.

According to the statement, six drones were destroyed over the Moscow region and one over the capital, while the rest targeted other regions, including those bordering Ukraine such as Kursk, where Ukrainian forces continue to maintain control over some territories.

In the Ryazan region, southeast of Moscow, 20 drones were reported to have been targeted. Videos published on Telegram by anonymous users show massive flames, which bloggers claim are the result of a strike on an oil depot and a thermal power plant. Reuters has not been able to verify these reports.

The regional governor of Ryazan, Pavel Malkov, confirmed on Telegram that emergency services are working to address the aftermath of an airstrike in the area.
