Highway accident: One injured person taken to hospital

The week has started with a road accident on the Fier–Lushnjë highway, near the area known as “Pushimi i Shoferit” (“Driver’s Rest”).

A “Mercedes-Benz” vehicle collided with a “Ford”, and as a result of the accident, one person—a passenger in the Ford—was injured and urgently transported to Lushnjë hospital for medical treatment.

Traffic police units immediately arrived at the scene and are working to fully clarify the causes of the accident.

According to preliminary information, it is suspected that the driver of the Mercedes-Benz braked at the moment when the Ford was entering the deceleration lane, leading to the collision between the two vehicles.
