University applications: 6 days to choose study programs, here's when the process begins

High school graduates applying for university are awaiting the opening of applications for higher education institutions across the country. On Monday, July 27, the process of completing the A2 application form will officially begin through the U-Albania portal.

This is the online form where applicants will be able to list up to 10 preferred study programs for their higher education.

Students may choose different programs within the same university, such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing at the University of Medicine.

They may also choose the same study program, such as Information Technology (IT), at different universities, or combine different programs depending on their preferences and academic results. The application process will remain open for six days.

Applications can be submitted from anywhere, whether at home, on vacation, or even from abroad.

Officials from the Albanian Academic Network advise applicants to carefully consider their choices before submitting the form, noting that they also have the opportunity to make approximate calculations of their admission points.

After the application period closes, the Albanian Academic Network will send the data to universities, which will calculate the admission points for approximately 29,000 applicants.

This process will take place after August 20, once entrance competitions for certain study programs, including Medicine, Architecture, the Arts, and Sports, have been completed. The list of admitted students for both public and private universities is expected to be announced at the end of August.
