USA lifts the “non grata” sanction on Sali Berisha

The U.S. State Department has lifted the “non grata” designation on Sali Berisha.

According to Lapsi.al, Berisha has been removed from the sanction imposed five years ago by former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, which had barred him and his family from entering the United States.

The same sources confirm that the decision by the State Department was communicated to Berisha himself in a 15-minute phone conversation by the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires, Nancy Van Horn.
