Preparations for the 2026 State Matura exams have entered the final phase, while the Ministry of Education has announced stricter measures to ensure a smooth and transparent process nationwide.

Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro stated that this year online test models have been prepared in all schools, in order to help graduates become familiar with the exam format and be as prepared as possible for the official tests.

According to her, the State Matura exams will be held in 114 centers across the country, while the process will be monitored by 170 supervisors.

Mirela Kumbaro emphasized that this year there will be zero tolerance for violations of the rules, warning of disciplinary measures for both administrators and students who attempt to bypass the regulations during exams.

“We have prepared online models for the Matura test in all schools in the country. There are 114 exam centers nationwide and 170 monitors. Zero tolerance in the implementation of the State Matura regulations.

There is a tightening of rules and penalties. Sanctions will apply both to administrators who fail to perform their duties properly and to students who violate the regulations,” the minister said.

She also warned that any student who breaks the rules during the exams will be immediately excluded from the State Matura process.

“Any violation of the rules by students will result in their exclusion from the exam process, and everyone must keep this in mind in order to avoid making unwise decisions,” she added.

The Ministry of Education also announced that the monitoring and organization system of the exams has been significantly strengthened this year, aiming to ensure a more reliable and fair process for all graduates in the country.
