In the past hours, Tirana has been gripped by a wave of criminal incidents and serious legal violations, including illegal trafficking, violence, stalking, robbery, and obstruction of journalists during their work. Police have carried out multiple investigative and operational actions, declaring several suspects wanted and arresting others for various criminal offenses.

An abandoned vehicle with nine minors from Egypt was found on the Durrës-Tirana highway. A 37-year-old man is wanted on suspicion of facilitating their illegal border crossing. Investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, cases of online abuse were also recorded. A 39-year-old woman is suspected of creating a fake profile in another woman’s name, while a 57-year-old man is wanted for defamatory posts against another citizen. In crimes against persons, a 23-year-old man is wanted for stalking his ex-girlfriend, while a 28-year-old scammed someone by renting a car and never returning it. At the same time, a 31-year-old was detained for irregular driving, following a court decision.

Another disturbing case involves the assault of a journalist during her duty. She reported being obstructed and hit with a phone by a 67-year-old man. The cameraman accompanying her was also obstructed and had his equipment damaged by private security guards. Criminal proceedings have begun against the perpetrators.

In another serious case, a 15-year-old robbed a peer with a sharp object, forcibly taking a sum of money. He has been detained by the police. Several others have also been prosecuted for drunk driving, lacking a driver’s license, or disturbing public order.

In Krujë, a 20-year-old was arrested for driving without a license, while in the same city 12 suspected cannabis plants were discovered and destroyed in a forested area. Work continues to identify the cultivators.

Physical violence cases over trivial motives were also reported, with citizens filing complaints seeking the identification of the attackers.

All cases have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
