“Will you agree to marry him?” / Rama shares video with jokes: We will be members of the EU within this decade

Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared a video online ahead of the Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference, featuring jokes as well as the promise that Albania will become a member of the EU within this decade.
This means that Albania is expected to join the EU before 2030. In his social media post, Rama wrote: “With pride for an Albania that is becoming more and more European every step of the way, I wish you a wonderful day.”
“We’ll say that we accept right now. Do you agree to marry him? Yes, I do,” Rama says in the video.
The published footage also shows meetings with Marta Kos and Cyprus’ Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna.
The meetings with the two officials appear very warm, while Kos even climbs onto a step to make herself slightly taller in order to hug Edi Rama.
