The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazmend Bardhi, during his speech in Parliament, asked the Speaker, Niko Peleshi, to include the report of the Mandates Council as part of the session, regarding SPAK’s request to lift the immunity of Belinda Balluku.

“On February 23, the Council for Rules and Mandates concluded the meeting regarding SPAK’s request for the arrest or deprivation of liberty of MP Belinda Balluku. The Council members, since there was no clear position, five members who were certain submitted the report.

Mr. Speaker, you are obliged to include the report as part of the next Parliament session after the report was submitted. The report was submitted on Monday, and the first session is today. The agenda did not include the review of this request, which is urgent. A week has already passed, leaving the request unaddressed.

You have pushed it to the three-month limit, against all procedures. Ulsi told me it would be in the library and that the report was completed. Ulsi should come out of the library and bring the report,” Bardhi said.

On the other hand, the head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, stated that their position had been clear in the Mandates Council meeting. According to him, Bardhi is lying even during the month of Ramadan and has no connection to faith.

“I listened carefully to the lie, lying even in the month of Ramadan, and as for my relation to faith, the only one with no connection is you. Regarding the lies told in the chamber, our position was clear in the Mandates Council meeting, and at the conclusion of the meeting, we communicated exactly as the Parliament rules clarify it,” he said, among other statements.
