300 thousand euros seized at customs

Around 300,000 euros were seized during checks at the Han i Elezit border crossing.

According to a statement from the relevant authorities, customs officers discovered and confiscated 295,270 undeclared euros that had been hidden in a vehicle.

Kosovo Customs reported that the vehicle was stopped for a detailed secondary inspection after the driver declared that he had nothing to report. During the physical check, customs officials found the large sum of money concealed inside the car.

The amount of 295,270 euros was confiscated in accordance with legal procedures. Meanwhile, the case has been handed over to competent authorities for further investigation, reports KosovaPress.

Kosovo Customs emphasized that such inspections are part of ongoing efforts to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities at border points.
