58-year-old woman dies after consuming a quantity of detergent

A tragic incident occurred yesterday in Elbasan. The 58-year-old woman, N. Ll., was taken to the city’s Regional Hospital after reportedly consuming a quantity of detergent (acid) due to a severe psychological condition.
Despite the immediate intervention by medical staff, the woman could not be saved and passed away in the hospital.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Elbasan District Court for further investigative actions.
The Elbasan Local Police Directorate continues working to fully clarify the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
