A 40-year-old is being prosecuted for using a café for sports betting. Incident also reported in Kolonjë. Here’s the police statement!

Specialists from the Crime Investigation Unit of Korçë Police Station arrested in flagrante citizen B. Xh., 39, resident of Korçë, after he was found outside his home in violation of a court order, which had imposed the precautionary measure of “House Arrest” on him for the criminal offense of “Irregular Driving of Vehicles.”

Specialists from the Crime Investigation Unit of Devoll Police Station referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against citizen N. K., 40, resident of Bilisht, Devoll, after a sports betting page was found on his mobile phone during a check at his café. The mobile device was seized as material evidence.

Specialists from the Crime Investigation Unit of Kolonjë Police Station also referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against a 17-year-old resident of Gostivisht, Kolonjë, who allegedly struck 18-year-old E. Q., resident of Ersekë, with a hard object during a minor dispute on the pedestrian street of Ersekë. The victim is receiving treatment at Korçë Hospital.

All procedural materials have been referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
