A car went off the road and collided with a tree, passenger aged 21 dies

Traffic specialists arrested a 26-year-old resident of Elbasan in flagrante delicto after he caused a fatal accident this morning.

The incident occurred on “Janaq Kilica” street, where the vehicle driven by the 26-year-old, while under the influence of alcohol, went off the road and collided with a roadside tree. As a result of the collision, the passenger, a 21-year-old also from Elbasan, lost his life.

The driver sustained injuries but is out of life-threatening danger. He was immediately arrested by the police, and the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution for further legal action.

The investigative team continues working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
